2012 Annual Meeting
The Southern Anthropological Society held its 47th annual meeting in charming Birmingham, Alabama, at the Sheraton Hotel, March 15-17. The theme of the meeting was “Peace, Justice and the Environment (From an Anthropological Perspective).”
The keynote speaker for the conference was Dr. Beth Conklin, Professor of Anthropology and Religious Studies at Vanderbilt University.
The annual meeting was hosted by Anthro-Teach and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The meeting Program Chair was Lori Cormier. The Local Arrangements Coordinator was Sharyn Jones.
