We’re looking forward to seeing you in Oxford, Mississippi for the 61st Annual Meeting of the Southern Anthropological Society, March 4–6, 2027.

The meeting will be held at the University of Mississippi and hosted at the Inn at Ole Miss. This year’s theme is Polycrisis — an exploration of how communities recognize, respond to, and navigate the convergence of multiple crises, from climate change and biodiversity extinction to pandemics, hyper-nationalism, and other macro-forces affecting peoples and cultures in the U.S. South and beyond.
